Artist Statement
Mingze is a new media artist whose practice centers on the human pursuit of love and connection in the face of contemporary loneliness and social alienation. His work carries a deeply idealistic and romantic worldview, an artistic ideology that stands as a poetic resistance to the growing detachment of modern life.
He approaches technology with both fascination and critique, upholding the principle that "technology must serve narrative." His practice seeks to fuse emerging technologies with humanistic storytelling, using digital systems as instruments of emotion rather than domination.
Working across digital media, interactive installations, immersive experiences, and video sculpture, Mingze constructs interactive systems and sensorial environments that ask audiences not only to witness but to participate—to make choices, shape relationships, and author their own meaning within the work. They become spaces for rediscovering intimacy, vulnerability, and presence: a reminder that even within a hyper-connected world, the longing for genuine connection remains profoundly human.
