VR Michelin Dining Experience
Immersive Experience
ICCA × Epic.Now
2025
Delivering and operating the world’s first Michelin VR Dining Experience, where virtual storytelling, physical cuisine, and synchronized multi-user VR merged into a single live theatrical performance.
Overview
In collaboration with Epic. Now, ICCA New York launched the world’s first Michelin VR Dining Experience, combining an omakase by Chef Kazushige Suzuki, a four-time Michelin One-Star recipient, with synchronized immersive storytelling delivered through Meta Quest headsets.
Supported by Meta, the experience brought together physical dining, spatial computing, and immersive narrative, with up to eight VR headsets running in sync during each seating.
The project was featured by Forbes and Nikkei Asia, and attracted widespread attention across social media.

Technology Should Bring People Back to One Another
Rather than isolating people inside VR, the experience moves between immersive storytelling and mixed reality. Five cinematic VR chapters are interwoven with shared moments where guests return to the physical table—to eat, drink, talk, meet the chef, and experience the meal together. During these intervals, contextual information about each course appears alongside subtle ambient animations, allowing technology to enrich the shared dining experience instead of replacing it.
